Pejibaye - Fermented Palm Fruit

The Pejibaye fruit has been adapted to Costa Rican culture for many years. The fruits grow in the wild, and when picked, sold, it's then fermented to be eaten. Some have made soup out of the fruits. You can find street vendors or outdoor farm markets selling them.

When you come to Costa Rica, make sure to give them a try.
